Of course now the council has sent the letter to us asking us to clear the mess, we showed the neighbours this letter, their response was that they did not get a letter, to me this meant the neighbours are saying that it is our problem and we have to deal with it and that is exactly what I am doing now, I have contacted the council officially told them about the circumstances behind this rubbish and how the neighbours are 100% responsible for this mess, I decided no more nice neighbour, I had enough of bloody promises that never get fulfilled, I had enough of keeping my children away from the driveway which they can enjoy especially with their new Heelys.
I never wanted it to come to this but I have put up with them for many years, their kids jumped once in our garden and I saw them with my own eyes ripping the small bouncy castle we had, one of their kids once broke my car's aerial, I told the mother, nothing! no response!, they park their car and block the driveway even though it is shared and big enough for both cars, the list goes on and on....
As from yesterday evening, the driveway has been cleaned and hosed down and all the rubbish removed by the neighbours, was it the letter I showed them or was it because the council contacted them? I have no idea but I am glad its done.
