Prince Mohamed Al-Sinussi is the son of Libya's late Crown Pince Al-Hassan Al-Ridha Al-Sinussi.

with Mr. Mohamed Al-Sinnussi
with the Prince of Libyan blogs, Suliman Brave Heart
After a short introduction followed by a short speech by Prince Mohamed, the documentary was shown on a large screen, the 30 minutes film started with Libyan independence showing how the country was going through change which didn't last long as the 1969 revolution put an end to that and started a whole new era for Libya which took the country many steps backward.

I very much enjoyed the documentary, there was a lot of footage that many of us have not seen before including footage of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visiting Libya on their honey moon.
After the screening of the documentary, we had lots of time to socialise, coffee and a selection of fruits and biscuits were served, I enjoyed the event and seeing people I know but the highlight for me was meeting Brave Heart.
You can read more about this event and see more pictures Here
Some of the pictures are by my friend Mr. Omar El-Houni

Hi Al,
Getting all worked up :-)(back to my old self )or shall I say a live report which hopefully will not be taken to my auntie's at Tagura lol........
MusicLover,
"Libya is a police state, but the trains still do not run on time. "
I was not aware we have trains, I thought it was under the Italian rule we had trains. Only an idiot would build railways in Libya, maybe somebody was getting high on Dobbie Brothers song.
We do not have trains as the project for building railways(1982) from border to border has been postponed for many years then activated to be postponed again for another number of years -then out of the blue put into action, where land was seized from farmers ,in the countryside, and till today the lands have not been returned nor reimbursed.
As for the project in itself being of no value ,I don't agree.
Traffic has become horrendous here in Tripoli. We can be compared to Bangkok more or less where driving back and forth or commuting means wasted time and energy on the road trying to get to one's destination!
Trains (underground would be my choice,in the city ) are the best solution to this with our rise in population in the younger generation where cars are not affordable and beyond reach, though available if "wasta"(connection)is obtainable and in some cases cars would be even given gratis!
On the other hand most employees be they government or corporate employed ;get cars in accordance with the job description including free gas, and maintenance of the fully insured cars. This and the addition to a middle class being quite visible where a family of 9-12 have at least 2-3 cars!To top it with the mini buses introduced to us vua Egypt "The Iveco" which speed like crazy and have the loudest junk of music on loud(dont know if you can call it music). All this lead to the traffic crisis we have to face on a daily basis.
Getting high in Libya is a matter of choice but can be easily done on this song ;
so you see what we go through which makes me smile when I encounter everyday management crisis out of this world I just set my mind frame to this song..which is most appropriate for anyone who has to deal with what I have ,in living here and not losing ones sanity!
like Ally McBeal does in her mindset lol

Salam dear Anglo Libyan, warmest greetings from the UAE.
Lovely post, thanks for the pics! Very interesting to see the old monarchist flag of Libya.. I was curious so I googled a bit more about it and the results were fascinating... especially that Prince Mohammed is considered the legitimate heir to the throne of Libya.. maybe it's not my position to ask, but what do you think about Libya ruled by a monarchy?
Also very interesting to note that Prince As-Senussi lives in the United Kingdom.
hey guys nice 2 meet nasser & suliman both of us looking young wallahy >>> LOLZ
& thanx bro 4 sharing ths song `e us ...
keep hard working

OoOokay... that was interesting... though it took me a while to get to the end of this page :P
It was quite interesting to learn about this event. I would've gone had I known about it - but if people were invited then I'd probably get kicked out lol-
Doesn't Omar Mukhtar make you feel damn proud to be a Libyan? and to talk about him as a true Libyan icon? Thank Allah that we have a hero to mention in our history...try to imagine what we would be like had he not existed... brrr
Take care... sorry for the intrusion...I'm Libyan and love anything that has to do with me being a Libyan... i guess... no I do :P
Salam
Since Music Lover posted a link to a video here is one that you may find appropriate, though is is very 1980's and I would just listen to the music and words. The video is poorly shot.
I am looking forward to the DVD too.

Hi there. I just like to know if Al-Sinussi, Senussi, and Alsonusi are all just the same even their spelling are different?
Are they related to each other?
Thank you
